Sunday afternoon brunch with Janny and she is late as usual. About an hour late actually, grrrr..But the wait was made more tolerable by my lovely bartender at Scarpina Bar and Grill. Located at 88 University Pl in Union Square, this place had been open only for a few months, but I still felt right at home. My mixologist had some fun with me while I waited and started experimenting with new blends and flavors. I didn't mind, she comped them all!! And they didn't taste bad either.
When Janny finally arrived our brunch date turned into a dinner date. The food was good, I ordered a medium well cheeseburger which was seasoned nicely and juicy served with yucca fries and Janny ordered the cornish
hen.
Overall, beautiful decor, good food and nice service.
